Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is a great honour to serve as President of the Singapore Society of Anaesthesiologists.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our past presidents, Executive Committee, and Special Interest Group Committee for their dedication and contributions to our Society.

In particular, on behalf of the new Executive Committee, I would like to thank Prof Sng Ban Leong and his team for their leadership and commitment to advancing our profession and strengthening our community.

As anaesthesiology continues to evolve, our Society remains committed to supporting education, professional development, research, and collaboration.

We will continue to provide opportunities for learning, networking, and the exchange of ideas, while promoting excellence in patient care and safety.

Most importantly, our Society is driven by the collective efforts of its members. I warmly encourage more anaesthesiologists to join our community, participate in our activities, and contribute their ideas as we work together to advance our profession.

I encourage all members to stay engaged, share ideas, and play an active role in shaping the future of our Society.

Dr Tan Zihui
President, Singapore Society of Anaesthesiologists (2026-2028)
